That mode only allows cards from the original Basic and Classic sets at the moment, so you’re more likely to have far more of a collection there than you currently do for Standard. The start of 2016 introduced a largely unprecedented concept in terms of Hearthstone’s design philosophy: Changing a lot of cards at once.

I tend to play mostly fun decks in Wild, and I’ve found that, while you still meet a decent number of meta decks, there are a lot more weird or different decks out there if you’re in the Silver or Gold ranks.įinally, you might consider playing Classic mode as you start back in. If your Star bonus is fairly low in Wild, you might have more luck meeting meme decks once you’ve climbed enough to lose your bonus and be matched by rank. Your bonus decreases by 1x every time you hit a new 5 or 10 rank, but since you’ve only hit Bronze 8 from what you’ve said, you probably still have your original Star bonus. 2x is the minimum, and it can range up to 11x for players who hit high Legend. That’s actually the best indicator now of how high your Ranked MMR is. What initial Star bonus did the game give you? You can find that on the screen where you queue up for Ranked matches (and you can have different bonuses for Standard, Wild and Classic). The Bronze ranks are basically the equivalent of Ranks 25-20 in the old system, but now matching is done by MMR rather than rank, so that works a bit differently. Whichever it was, it is likely your best bet for Standard at this point if you just have the Core set and a few packs worth of stuff from Standard.
HEARTHSTONE META DECKS OCTOBER 2016 FREE
Which free deck did you choose? Knowing that might help other posters give you advice. I would appreciate a friendly advice, how can I play people with my skill and card pool again? Just played a rogue who was just killing me by drawing cards, this was embarassing as he didnt even had to attack me. I was given 4 bonus stars, reading about those, it is supposed to show my skill? But what skill, if I did not play since 2016? Mind you, I dont have a problem with a bit tougher content, but right now I am feeling so lost against all those perfect decks (at least in my eyes). I played Arena too, but never higher than 8 wins.īecause now, it looks as if each game features a legendary player of sorts with perfectly balanced sets, where a lot of combos are played and I am just getting steamrolled.ĭo I need to sit this season out, to reset my ranking again or am I forever doomed because I was once Rank 4 about 7 years ago? I suppose there is no newbie protection for players that have been away for years, right? It was a mixed bag, but it was never as bad as now. Very early in HS, I was around rank 4, this was around Naxx I believe, but all the other seasons I was somewhere around 20 and often met casual players like me or sometimes a player who was farming gold by beating us. The game seems to think that after being away for 5 years, I have become a legend player or something, with great knowledge, which is really odd.

I have been trying to find why I am meeting all those big decks so early, but I have not found any good answers. The two wins were a miracle, but one player did concede early, so its actually just one win. Now, when I was still playing, we did start at Rank 25 in a new season, I am not sure what Bronze 10 is compared to the former Rank 25, if it is the lowest or not, but I have no chance of winning against these decks most of the time. People are probably laughting when I play the yeti, but ya, that is my card pool! I received a free deck too, but I am not sure that this is competetive enough. I won 2 matches so far, now I am chicken 8 whatever that means…
HEARTHSTONE META DECKS OCTOBER 2016 FULL
This however, seems to be very hard as I was listed Bronze 10 and only meet players with full meta decks, that play cards I never saw or heard of. wanted to do my daily quests and weekly quests, which is something new as there were no weekly quests when I stopped and I saw the stormwind questline, which I am also trying to do. I believe it was the year of the Kraken, when I stopped, as I did not like the idea of losing cards to wild.Īnyways, when I heard about Mercenaries I wanted to try this out and I do like this type of content. I think I played my last hearthstone match somewhere in 2016, I was never a really good player, just casually playing never legendary or so, but I was mostly playing around the ranking 20-15.
